Estimating - Why Someone Always Loses and How OW&P Fixed That

The formulas for estimating are simple enough, but someone always loses in the process. Here's why:
- The Designer loses on an estimate when a project goes over budget on time or materials, and the Client refuses to pay the additional. Why should they? - the estimate was signed-off, one of many reasons the Designer was chosen.
- The Client loses when a project is completed with less effort or material than was originally estimated. Great for the Company - it's extra profit.
At OW&P Everbody Wins: Estimates from Ontario Web & Print are always as accurate as possible; but when a project's cost fluctuates, you'll get it in writing:
Increased Expenses: When an additional expense is necessary, it will be explained, and the Client must be asked to approve it. This eliminates hidden or surprise costs.
Decreased Expenses: If the project is completed under estimate, Ontario Web & Print will refund the payment or alter the invoice accordingly. The Client will never pay more than the actual time and materials used. Guaranteed. |
